l’Anatomie with Aera (Innervisions / Maeve), Hendry, and Kieran Apter
Aera AKA Ralf Schmidt was born in northern Germany in the mid 80’s, growing up in a small, grey town just in between the Baltic and the North Sea. When the first wave of house and techno swept through the suburbs, young Aera was right there in the middle of it.
In 2010, after years of honing his craft in the studio and buying records, Aera started his own label Aleph Music. The label became home to the majority of his own productions as well as remixes from the likes of Mano Le Tough, among others.

L-VIS 1990 at Witness
Co-founder of label and club night Night Slugs alongside Bok Bok, L-VIS 1990 is an artist whose musicality has shifted from explosive hyperbass on his debut ‘Change The Game’ to propulsive Chicago house on ‘Club Constructions Vol.1’ all via the smooth pop sensibilities of his gatefold album ‘Neon Dreams’. His DJ knack for deconstructing then playfully reassembling hard edged dancefloor styles is one of the reasons he’s such an exciting performer.

Dr. Rubinstein at Texture
Dr. Rubinstein has had one of the most authentic and homegrown rises to fame of any Techno DJ in recent history. Without any label affiliation or record releases to date, she has simply let the music do the talking. From club performances at her longtime residency at Berlin’s ://about_blank, a recent closing stint at Berghain, to a new residency at Oval Spaces alongside DJ Nobu. Add several festival bookings this Summer including Barcelona’s Sonar Festival b2b with Marcel Dettmann and we think you’ll agree it’s been quite the year for her. We can’t wait to see what her acid-drenched brand of techno will do in a 150-capacity venue. Not one to be missed.

JT Forrest, Gazing, Craig Meighan
Hailing from the east end of Glasgow comes a wave of acoustic guitars, electronic beats and synths in the form of Jt Forrest. Playing in and around Glasgow for several years in different guises, only recently has he settled on a style that feels all his own. Merging the sad of 90’s indie (Elliott Smith) and the happy of 60’s pop (Beach Boys), catchy choruses and thoughtful lyrics clash to create an intimate and poppy sound. First headlining show in Edinburgh so expect a party.

George FitzGerald: Hiding Places
British DJ/producer George FitzGerald witnessed the birth of the dubstep scene during the mid-2000s, working at London shop Black Market Records and being a part of the city’s vibrant club scene, but he didn’t begin releasing music of his own until he moved to Berlin in 2010, when Paul Rose (aka Scuba) signed FitzGerald to his influential label Hotflush Recordings. FitzGerald pursued music as a full-time career, releasing moody, melancholic R&B-influenced club tracks, starting with “The Let Down” 12″ on Hotflush in 2010, followed up by “Don’t You” (also on Hotflush) and “Fernweh” on his own ManMakeMusic in early 2011.

One of the best live bands we hosted in 2016 are back with a new record.
Heaters, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, have a spacey, driving take on West Coast psych rock. Tapping into both the twang of their ’60s garage compatriots and building their own brand of expansive, cosmic swells, Pitchfork calls the band “catchy and kinetic,” noting their “energy and hook writing are clearly on point.” Combining a seemingly constant output of “reverb-coated, fuzz-studded, hard-driven garage psych” with a kaleidoscopic, hip-shaking live set, Heaters are quickly forging something new and exciting. » More

“Our name comes from our hometown’s patron, the Virgin of Guadalupe —she protects us as we play the devil’s music,” say the members of Guadalupe Plata, with not a little bit of hopefulness.
Rising up from the town of Úbeda, deep in Andalusia near Jaén, Guadalupe Plata have become legends for their provocative, deeply affecting blues and boogie music, creating a psychedelic landscape that is as darkly surrealistic as it is infectious.
Guadalupe Plata — Pedro de Dios (guitar and voice), Carlos Jimena (drums), and Paco Luis Martos (bass, contrabalde, and guitar) — have met wide success with a string of recordings and constant touring in Spain and Portugal where they have become well known stars, even as they continue to play every sort of venue imaginable, from backyards to bordellos, giant music festivals, dirty bars, and extravagant night clubs. This is a no nonsense band, famous for their stripped-down sound and primitive equipment, most notably a washtub bass built with parts taken from the local graveyard and a chainsaw.
Mojo magazine has called them “culturally rich and instantly identifiable as excellent.”
SAT 10TH JUN 17 AT 7.00PM
Brevity is among Mannequin Pussy’s strengths, but a controlled volatility is the Philadelphia quartet’s calling card. The mood of any given song can zap with a disconcerting swiftness from the playful to the chaotic. This dynamic persists on record and on stage.
Mannequin Pussy’s dense towers of noise are underlined by Marisa Dabice’s evocative and passionate lyrical poetry. On their latest LP ‘Romantic’, she’s attempting to figure out what romance means in the 21st century. Less about the gooey stuff and more about everything that surrounds love — the triumphs, the failures and how we transform from the mess of it all. Mostly, it’s just a reminder to love someone. We love them.

Mike Servito (New York/Ghostly) at Juice
The Bunker New York – Ghostly – Brooklyn\
Mike Servito is from a very special yet temporary and partially lost fertile crescent of techno / house / party DJing. It was a time when raves were still a fresh idea, almost felt like a revolution, and DJs like Claude Young, D Wynn, Derrick Carter and Mike Huckaby were informing an upcoming generation. If you look directly to that inspired generation you will find the lost threads of Detroit Techno, House and beyond, you will find a group of DJs with insanely deep mixing skills, the ability to rock almost any kind of party with an improvisational approach that is so skilled it makes everything seem so well thought out that even they don’t know where their set will go. But, it will take you there! In the future, this special generation of deep midwest mixers will be remembered and revered as the wizards they are, long after the trendy players have lost their luster. » More
