Jah Love, an italian reggae band born in 2001, are now a well-known reality not only in Italy. At present, the band is composed by Fabio Cesarini (lead singer&MC), Andrea Mussi (trumpet), Scipione Marco (sax), Alessandro Ferrari (drums), Jimmy straniero (bass), Nane Maffoni (one drop&lead guitar), Rocky Iacobuzio (one drop&lead guitar), Gaetano Cappitta (percussions & colors), Roberto Pace ( keyboards) Jah Love have collected more than 300 live shows, also sharing the stage with important reggae artists, such as Capleton, Franziska, Ganjamama, Dub Sync, Mika (from Belgium), Statuto, and many other italian bands, singers and sound systems. In 2002 the first Ep Kingston was published; from it, the song C'è (vibra positiva) was extracted and included in Italian Reggae Summer, a reggae compilation produced by Gramigna and released in 2003. In this year, the second Ep Soltanto una cosa... was recorded. At last, in April 2007, the first full lenght album, Creation, was released, and from the very beginning it has gained a very positive feedback, both from media and public. The songs here included have been promoted by a lot of italian and foreign (i.e. Swiss, Argentinian, French, German) radios. The cd has also been awarded by the German web site irie-beats-germany.de as one of the best album of the week. The Creation's release was immediately followed by the promotional Creation tour, which included shows at Rototom Sunsplash Festival (second participation), Bornasco Reggae Festival and Sun Day Festival. In this occasion, the band went on stage with the historic Italian reggae singer Jaka. In the same year, Jah Love almost reached a show at San Siro Stadium (Milan), thanks to a second placing in the Sun'n'sound contest. In 2008, the band also partecipated to a musical tv show dedicated to them. In addition to the mentioned productions, Jah Love have taken part in several collaborations and published two singles, Ghetto youth and Inna d Road – the first of them being also included in the German compilation Reggae seven seals and in the Italian Reska compilation –; a soundtrack (Good man) for a short film and the Natty ride riddim (in collaboration with Feel free production, distributed by One Love Hi Pawa), on which several reggae artists have sung. Among them, Lutan Fyah (Stand up for life); Laza Morgan (from LMS); Grandpa and Mojo Morgan from Morgan Heritage (both have included the songs in their first solo album); Lion D (Live long, included in his The burnin melody album)... At the end of 2010, it was released the second full length album, Strength for life, a fourteen songs work of pure blazing reggae and a new important chapter in Jah Love history.
