"Haunted" è stato il primo brano scritto da Avidan per l’album.
“I was having a long writer’s block, and starting to feel I might have to give up, when a series of events that include Carl Jung, a bout of vertigo, Mexico, Brad Pitt, and Hitchcock somehow merged into a path that opened up the doors.”.
La canzone inizia in modo ingannevole, con una chitarra acustica e una voce che diremmo quasi familiari, ma esplode rapidamente in un paesaggio sonoro orchestrale, ricco e cinematografico, dove la voce di Avidan mostra tutte le sue incredibili sfumature, includendo perfino accenni di rap.
“This is the first song I wrote for the album and you can hear I’m just trying out a tiny bit of this rap element mixed with more melodic cinema style music. Later in the album it became crazier .”.

Con questo singolo, anticipato nelle scorse settimane dal primo estratto "The Call of The Flow" , Asaf Avidan stabilisce il tono del nuovo progetto: UNFURL promette di essere un album audace e imprevedibile.
Registrato nei leggendari Miraval Studios, l’album si costruisce attorno a una sezione ritmica jazz suonata dal vivo, arricchita da un’orchestra al completo. Attravers ole 8 tracce che lo compongono, Asaf Avidan fonde nostalgia e modernità per esplorare temi profondi come la mortalità e la ricerca di senso.
