“Hieronymus”, second album by young double bass player Pippi Dimonte, released february 4th, 2016, on FonoFabrique. As in each canvas of the late great sixteenth-century visionary artist, vanguard meets tradition. 8 tracks in which different sounds and styles are displayed, ranging from Jazz to Funk, contaminations coming from Latin and even 'classical' music: genres that fit together well, managing to give the whole album a sense of stylistic cohesion. Throughout the listening, different scenarios transpire: from scenes of everyday life in the Berlin district, to the nightlife in Marseille, up to migrating to exotic faraway places.
