An evening featuring Pedro Maia's Present Tense performance in duo with electronic artist Furtherset. A live film performance with four 16mm projectors and music from Furtherset's new LP The Infinite Hour.

PEDRO MAIA (PT)
Since 2004, Pedro Maia has been developing “Live Cinema” concept, exploring the medium potentiality of Analogue Cinema, manipulating images in real-time, and interacting with sound. Maia has contributed to projects to Patti Smith, Soundwalk Collective, Danny Elfman and Lucrecia Dalt and has presented solo performances as well collaborations with musicians such as Vessel, Shackleton, Holy Other, Visionist, Kevin Richard Martin, Shapednoise, Jacaszek, Shxcxchcxsh, Tropic of Cancer, Craig Leon, Lee Ranaldo, Raul Refree, Fennesz, Nisennenmondai, and many others, with presentations of these worldwide in leading festivals like Sonar, Unsound, Berlin Atonal, All Tomorrow’s Party, Mutek Montreal, Mutek Mexico, Dekmantel, TaicoClub Japan, Red Bull Music Academy, as well in renowned places like CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, Eye Film Museum, Contemporary Cultural Center of Valencia, CaixaForum Barcelona, among others.

FURTHERSET (IT)
Furtherset is the musical project of artist and musician Tommaso Pandolfi (1995). His compositions’ distinctive traits are stratifications and recursive shifting modulations, synthetic clusters and sampling, alongside rhythmic and embracing harmonies. His new album «The Infinite Hour» is out on -OUS in October 2023.
His music has been presented at festivals and institutions such as Club To Club, Bad Bonn Kilbi, La Biennale di Venezia, and Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi.

BORING TABLES (IT)
Boring Tables (Luca Quartarone) is a roman born and raised, vinyl collector, DJ & producer. His music is influenced by his continuous discovery of the world and its various vibes.
Luca’s style stretches between ambient and electronic, contaminated and contrasted by nature and urban jungle sounds, to create an unusual sensorial experience.

Indonesian duo Senyawa brings a truly startling and thrilling avantgarde live experience, followed by Bitter Babe's blend of bass-heavy club music and latin-inspired percussive rhythms. Sacca closes the night with breakbeat, electro, trance and jungle.

Senyawa embodies the aural elements of Indonesian tradition whilst exploring the framework of experimental music, pushing the boundaries of both traditions into avantgarde, psychedelic and also metal landscapes.
The result is a truly contemporary Indonesian new music, that sparked the attention of many underground realities around the globe, including the electronic scene.
Their sound is comprised of Rully Shabara’s deft extended vocal techniques punctuating the frenetic sounds of instrument builder, Wukir Suryadi’s modern-primitive instrumentation. The two operate on a force-of-nature level, making traditions collide and giving birth to new sounds that are truly mind-boggling, exciting and astonishing.

Bitter Babe is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ who hails from Bogotá, Colombia. Her cutting-edge selection blends bass-heavy club music with latin-inspired percussive rhythms like dembow, raptor house, tribal and Brazilian funk.
Bitter Babe has been a key player of the new school of artists shaking up Miami electronic scene and putting it on the international sight, alongside artists like INVT, Coffintext and collaborator Nick León, with whom she has co-produce 2 EPs, as well as participate on Air Texture’s compilation curated by Anthony Naples and DJ Python.
