At The Drive In have made their 'Diamanté' EP available digitally ahead of their European tour dates this February. Previously only available on 10” vinyl, new tracks 'Amid Ethics', 'Despondent at High Noon' and 'Point of Demarkation' are now streaming and ready for download on Spotify.
“Since we started this touring run in March of 2016, we’ve been so excited to share all the new music we had put together” says drummer Tony Hajjar “We were lucky enough to release our full length Inter•al•ia and now our new ep called Diamanté. Looking forward to sharing all this music with you and to be playing with DFA 1979 and Le Butcherettes”.
Davvero intricata la storia della band post-hc texana che mai rinuncia alle sue prerogative, dalle grafiche delle cover degne delle più prestigiose gallerie di arte moderna all’ermetismo delle liriche, come sempre assicurato. Nel mezzo la musica, complicato intreccio di hardcore evoluto, di scorie progressive (difficile oggi parlare degli ATDI senza pensare ai Mars Volta), di fantasmi dub e hip-hop rievocati da una metrica feroce.At-The-Drive-In1 Gli At The Drive In serrati e tesi nel loro andamento sincopato si confermano eredi naturali dei Fugazi; la mutazione dell’hardcore e la sua evoluzione in chiave post-emo passano necessariamente da El Paso e queste tre tracce attestano il continuo di un percorso che può ancora dire molto e fare la differenza in una scena abusata.
